About Jesse

After graduating law school and completing a judicial clerkship, I began my career in the Nashville office of Baker Donelson. While at Baker Donelson, I represented both local and national companies in a diverse range of matters, with a focus on labor and employment issues. I left private practice to serve as the Associate General Counsel for the Tennessee Human Rights Commission, a state agency that enforces both state and federal anti-discrimination statutes. Immediately prior to starting my own firm, I was the Director of Legal Services for the Volunteer Lawyers & Professionals for the Arts.

I currently serve on the board of Tennessee Justice for Our Neighbors, and previously served on the board of the Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services. In my free time, I co-founded and hosted the podcast Mirror Mirror, which was an editor’s pick in the Nashville Scene’s 2017 “Best of Nashville” issue.

I am a cum laude graduate of Belmont University and magna cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law, where I served as Student Materials Editor on the Tennessee Law Review. I am licensed to practice law in Tennessee.

I am a proud native of East Nashville, where I still live with my husband, Jay.
